Roberto is a researcher in hydrogeology at the Geological Survey of Brazil coordinating the national program for isotope application in hydrology and advising to the National Director of Hydrology and Land Planning. Just about to conclude PhD at UNESP with noble gases application in hydrogeology Professional activities started as field hydrogeologist at humanitarian emergency projects during the civil war in Mozambique. (1993-1994). Has acted as water resources and hydrogeology consultant for several regional assessments, river basin diagnostics and state level water plans besides technical advisor to NGOs and rural development projects. From 1999 to 2009 he worked as task manager for the Organization of American States, based in Uruguay and USA, managing the Guarani Aquifer Project between Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.
